Challenge
Following a recent rebrand, cee group found itself with a visual identity that lacked consistency, strategic direction, and internal acceptance. While the company was driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a clear commitment to the energy transition, none of these qualities were reflected in the brand. The challenge was to develop an identity that aligned with the company’s values while differentiating it within the traditionally conservative asset management industry.
Solution
Working closely with the strategy team, we redefined the visual direction around a simple guiding idea: “Feel the Energy.” At the heart of the refreshed identity is a dynamic “Cloud” graphic, built from vibrant energy-inspired gradients that visually express movement, optimism, and momentum. Combined with a clean grotesque typeface and a refined logo application, the new design system balances professionalism with personality – creating a brand that feels both trustworthy and alive.
Impact
The refreshed identity was embraced immediately after its internal launch, creating strong engagement across the organization. The renewed sense of ownership translated into a more authentic external presence. Today, the visual language extends across recruitment, corporate communications, event branding, and project presentations – from branded marathon jerseys to animated films showcasing newly acquired wind and solar parks. In a market dominated by restrained financial brands, cee group now communicates with confidence, energy, and a distinctive visual voice.
Learnings
Successful branding begins from within. A visual identity can only resonate externally when it is genuinely understood and embraced internally. Involving key stakeholders throughout the strategic process creates alignment, encourages constructive discussion, and builds commitment long before the first design is presented. Strong brands are not imposed – they are developed together.
